The difference between level 1 and level 2 is truly profound. Level 2 luck already defeats 90% of ordinary people.

Take spells, for example. Zhao Xing might only trigger his luck's blessing two or three times out of a hundred casts of [Wandering Cloud], increasing the spell's effectiveness by 20% to 30%; this effect is known to players as a 'minor spell success.'

Perhaps once out of a thousand casts, a 'double effect' might be triggered, or what players call a 'major spell success!'

However, if one reaches level 2, then in ten casts, two or three minor successes might be triggered, and in a hundred casts, a major success might be triggered once.

And this is just the benefits of spellcasting; there are also things like finding treasure, meeting hidden masters through apprenticeship, and never going empty-handed while fishing...
