Chapter 5 Investigation

My relationship with Wang Ru took a sharp turn for the worse. Only in front of my daughter could I force a smile, pretending to maintain a harmonious family relationship.

Wang Ru seemed to be enjoying this, too. She was in the thick of things, and she couldn't wait for me to stay away.

In her heart, she probably thought I was unhappy because she was trying to get money from me, so she didn't think too much about it.
