Chapter 3: The Legend of Qian Qi
Qian Qi proudly picked up her plate and headed for the plate collection area. Unexpectedly, as she stood and turned around, she bumped into a student, spilling soup all over him.
"Damn it! Who's that? Don't you have eyes?"
The other student seemed to have a hot temper, cursing immediately after being bumped into. However, when Qian Qi fully turned around, she clearly saw the student's handsome face shift from irritability to a slight stiffness, followed by a convulsion of fear.
"Oh, yes, it's you. Sorry, sorry."
The student paled slightly, and, not caring about the soup on his clothes, he started to run.
The next second, Qian Qi grabbed him by the collar.
"Sorry, classmate, your clothes are dirty. How about I wash them for you?" As a gentle and kind-hearted person, Qian Qi naturally felt responsible for soiling someone's clothes, so she spoke gently. Unexpectedly, the boy got even more frightened. "No, no, sister. I can wash myself."
Qian Qi saw him trembling violently and was puzzled. Was she really that scary?
While she knew the original owner was a jerk, she didn't think even… She glanced at the boy. Even a 180cm tall man would be afraid of her, right?
"Classmate, what year are you in?" she asked.
"Um, junior."
"Oh," Qian Qi said, her tone rising slightly. "A junior calling me sister?"
The boy trembled even more. "No, I didn't mean 'older'. No, I, I'm calling you 'sister'?"
Seeing the boy stuttering so hard he couldn't even speak clearly, Qian Qi frowned and slapped him on the forehead. "Speak more clearly."
Boy: Oh.
[You really look like an even more jerk than the original owner.] Glancing at the words on the system panel, Qian Qi couldn't help but subdue her sass. "It must be the original owner's personality that's rubbing off on me."
[…]
"Hey, senior, don't be afraid." Qian Qi's tone grew gentler.
Unfortunately, her voice was rather neutral, and her rather... well, scoundrel-like demeanor made the boy even more frightened. "Sister, what the hell are you trying to do? Why don't you just give me a good beating!"
Everyone knew this freshman from the Magic Plant Department was a lunatic!
The legend of Qian Qi was etched in the hearts of every student in both the Magic Plant and Warcraft departments, even to the point of being passed down to the next year's freshmen.
The story began when the freshmen first arrived. Seniors from all the colleges, including those from the Magic Plant Department, were welcoming the new students.
This year, there were still many students applying to the Magic Plant Department, and Qian Qi caused a stir upon her arrival. The incident started when a senior from the Warcraft Department saw Qian Qi's attire and scoffed, "You look like a poor Magic Plant Department idiot!" Qian Qi, with her immense pride, then tackled her to the ground and beat her up.
She was incredibly strong, had a fierce demeanor, and fought relentlessly, attacking vulnerable areas. This resulted in a malnourished 1.65-meter-tall girl beating the 1.9-meter-tall senior to the point of crying for help. It took three 1.8-meter-tall boys to finally pull her away.
The senior's girlfriend then came to Qian Qi's house to provoke her, but she dislocated both arms, instilling fear in all the girls in the Magic Plant Department.
The incident should have ended there, but the mad Qian Qi refused to let it go. She went to the senior's dormitory and beat him up again in front of everyone.
The memory of her ferocious appearance filled the entire male dormitory with dread. From then on, her notoriety and madness spread throughout the Magic Plant and Magic Beast Departments.
Unfortunately, Qian Qi's inherited memories were incomplete, and she didn't know the legend of the original owner. She could only comfort the frightened boy, "Senior, I'm just trying to help you wash your clothes. Don't misunderstand."
The boy suppressed his trembling body, took off his coat and placed it in Qian Qi's hands. Then, when Qian Qi let go of the clothes, he ran away.
As he ran, he shouted, "Don't give it back to me! Seriously! Let me go!"
Qian Qi clutched the expensive, designer coat and looked down at her worn leather jacket. Finally, under the System's [→→] gaze, she said righteously, "Why are you looking at me like that? I'll definitely wash it and return it to him."
[Hehe.]
...
Qian Qi walked around campus, and the wound on her neck healed. To avoid further trouble, she went to the school hospital to buy a roll of medical bandages. After washing the blood off her neck at a public faucet, she bandaged it several times until it looked like it was back to normal, then returned to the dorm.
Her roommates were all studying. Chen Miaomiao, seeing her return, gave her a slight glare.
Qian Qi ignored them and went to the washroom balcony. Relying on her memory, she found her small, broken basin. After throwing her designer jacket in to soak, she realized she had no laundry detergent.
She scratched her hair slightly in annoyance and leaned over to say, "Chen Miaomiao, use some of your laundry detergent."
Chen Miaomiao, who was texting, shuddered. After a pause, she said angrily, "Don't use it all up!"
Qian Qi glanced at the small handful of laundry detergent Chen Miaomiao had left and decisively poured it all in.
"Ha!" Refreshing!
[You're such a bad person...]
"Don't talk nonsense. I'm a pure, kind person." Qian Qi rubbed the vegetable soup off her designer jacket. As she rubbed, she felt something in the jacket's pocket. She took it out and saw it was the student card of the boy she'd just met.
"Su Xingle, third year student in the Warcraft Department, dormitory, room 502, building B."
Qian Qi glanced regretfully at the coat in the basin.
[You're thinking: What a shame! Now there's no reason not to return the clothes, right?]
Qian Qi: No, I didn't. Don't talk nonsense.
Putting the student card away, Qian Qi took off her bloodied T-shirt and began rubbing the blood off it with dirty water.
After it was completely clean, she called out again, "Chen Miaomiao, can I borrow your clothes rack?"
Chen Miaomiao, who was texting, felt her hands tremble again. She couldn't help but peek out of bed and angrily addressed Qian Qi, "Didn't you just use it before? Why are you asking? Are you crazy?"
Unexpectedly, she met Qian Qi's meaningful gaze.
Chen Miaomiao's heart sank, and she couldn't help but wonder, why is Qian Qi looking at her like that? Did she know something? Impossible. Her and Chen Tong's plan was flawless. She was supposed to get 20,000 yuan after the success, but she never expected Qian Qi to survive Fire Qilian's attack.
After a flurry of thoughts, Chen Miaomiao was about to say something when Qian Qi said, "My brain got hit. I can't quite remember which hangers are yours."
Hit my brain? Can't remember?
Chen Miaomiao walked over suspiciously, her eyes glancing at the medical bandage around Qian Qi's neck. She couldn't understand why Qian Qi hadn't died.
The wound was clearly rotten...
"Here you go." Chen Miaomiao placed her hanger in Qian Qi's hand, unable to hold back, and asked, "Do you remember asking me yesterday..."
"Huh?" Qian Qi looked bewildered. "What?"
Chen Miaomiao was suddenly overjoyed. "Nothing, you..."
"You mean, asking about Fire Qilian's weaknesses?" Qian Qi's voice was dark and perverse, his lips suddenly close to Chen Miaomiao's ear, and he spoke sinisterly.
