Chapter 4: Song and the Sea

Notice that Rhodes Island would be sailing to Argor was quickly distributed to all departments on the ship. Since many operators had little knowledge of Argor, the notice also included a description of the journey to the Iberian coast, though most likely had only a limited understanding of Iberia.

Additionally, many operators had another question: what is the "sea"?

For the people of Terra, they had lived on the landmass of Terra since birth. The earth meant everything to them, and so they often referred to the world as "the earth."

But the "sea" was something they had never seen and seemed incomprehensible, like a summer insect unable to talk about ice. Some had heard descriptions from Iberian operators, but they couldn't fully grasp it.

Some operators who had visited cities like Xiosta and Dosorez claimed to have a deeper understanding of the sea: its vast expanse, its salty water, its vast lakes that took a long time to circumnavigate, and its sandy beaches.
