"Trainee Patrol Security Officer Wei Xin, you've recovered. Please leave the sanatorium."

Wei Xin regained consciousness and opened her eyes. The first thing she saw was the transparent glass cover of the sanatorium. The built-in monitor indicated her health status as green and healthy.

What she had experienced wasn't a dream; she hadn't returned to the First World.

A nurse entered and helped Wei Xin open the sanatorium, removing the IV tube from the back of her hand and the bandage from her head.

"You may leave now. Rest well for the next two days and avoid strenuous exercise," the nurse said kindly. "Remember to submit a request for exemption from training to your team leader, or your attendance pay will be deducted."

"Okay," Wei Xin nodded quickly, driven by her pauper's instinct.

Something as important as attendance pay couldn't be forgotten.

Wei Xin straightened up, her feet touching the cold metal floor, and stretched her muscles.
