Chapter 4 You'd better be quiet

Before Gu Sisi and her child could even get home, they ran headfirst into the original owner's mother-in-law, Wang.

She was an extremely uncouth, rustic woman, ignorant, rude, and unruly, and she deeply disliked the original owner.

Wang was chatting with Li and a few other women they were friendly with. When she saw Gu Sisi, her expression immediately fell. "Gu Sisi! Where have you been running off to again!"

Wang rushed over to her, pointed at her, and began to scold her. "You've been missing all day, and there's so much chores to do around the house. Are you itching to do something?"

The spit flew, causing Gu Sisi to frown. She took a step back and said, "Aren't you a human being? Don't you have hands?"

Wang's eyes widened. "What did you say?"
